Guild Affiliation: Never one to trust authority, let alone the government, he'll be too skeptical to pick a side for a while. Chaotic Neutral to the core.

Plot/CR Hooks:
Being the kind of guy who doesn't look too far beyond the present moment he'll probably be spending some time snooping around the hotel, the city, looking for people he knows and staking out any places of importance for either the Guardians or the Reform Society. He'll be looking for answers out of the mouths of someone who doesn't belong to a faction, because he isn't liable to trust information handed down from a single authority.

He's liable to go looking for ways to start slipping under the radar around here. He'd like to know what it takes to get out from the under the observation of their keepers.

He gravitates towards the gritty. He'll find his way towards Red light districts and underworlds pretty quickly because he tends to think the people there have a more honest understanding of how the world really works.

Character Motivations:
Making himself useful is hugely important to him. The man lives and breathes acts of services. Specifically the kind that take some physical toll.

In the short or long term, he's probably more than willing to be helpful. Especially with any dangerous jobs or dirty work that needs done. Always willing to mutilate himself a bit if it gets something useful done. All the better if it keeps someone else from having to do it. Or maybe you're just looking to test out your powers here. For science.

He's got an incredibly circumstantial sense of morality, and he's apt to do a lot of wrongs if he thinks it'll make a right.

He also can't resist an underdog. He'll back a total stranger in damn near anything if they're a David-type facing off against some Goliath.

Potential Roles:
Getting is attention can be tricky. He likes to mind his own business and can be obnoxiously apathetic, but generally if he's asked for help point blank he'll do what he's able. Especially if someone's in real need. If he's antagonized he won't hesitate to fight about it— win or lose, he walks away feeling like he's learned something. And he almost never says no to a beer or a bed.

So just be fighting, flirting, or fleeing really.

  • The Sacrifice - He's a meat shield. If there's a suicide mission he's the type to volunteers for it.

  • The debatably positive role mode or father/big brother figure - Is he good for this position or not? Depends who you ask. Happy to have him be a bad influence or a wholesome one.

  • The skeptic/cynic - He's a useful part of a team, but he's not known to hide it if he thinks things are going the wrong direction. Need someone to put reign in your ego? Put your plans in check? Slap some sense into you? Right or wrong, he'll make himself an obstacle if he thinks he's doing what needs to be done.

  • The Beast - Like the dog in Sandlot he's often the thing people fear before they get to know him. Love to have him put people off before they come around on him, or have him play the role of the beast with a thorn in it's paw in need of someone with a more delicate skillset to help him out of a bind.

  • The Mysterious Stranger - Sometimes he comes and goes from people's lives and lies about his name or just forgets to give it. If you're into slow burn character dynamics happy to have him pass through under some strange circumstance or pseudonym until they and cross paths again later on.
