Character Name & Journal: Josh Foley Guild Affiliation: Josh isn't super jazzed about either of the options! he'll be going unaligned for as long as he can. Plot/CR Hooks: Josh has the ability to heal people. If your character has some rare genetic disorder and/or some painful or extreme physical mutation, Josh may be able to assist with that. While he will not remove powers or abilities from people (or at least he's extremely unwilling to if it's something you were born with, like an x-gene or some other innate mutation), he will gladly assist with making them less painful or easier to cope with.
On the flip side, Josh can also hurt people. He has used these powers in the past to extort people into doing what he needed them to do, though he's not proud of it. He does accept that sometimes force needs to be used and will reluctantly do so again if he's backed into a corner.
His morality is relatively flexible (and growing more flexible each day) and he's not above causing a little harm or using his powers to extort people if it gives him what he needs! Character Motivations: Josh's immediate goals can be summed up as: get a decent job. get a car. get a house. He will reluctantly move into group housing for the time being! Most likely in Excelsior, but the idea of a sick farm life in Little Love sounds nicce.
His primary longterm goals as of right now are:
Find Laurie, and then find a way to get them both back into 616
or
Establish a life here and
distract himself so he's not thinking about how little control he has over the universe and where it throws him
Potential Roles: Canonically, Josh is most often used as a plot device. His mutation has made him a target and at his current canon point, he's veering more towards villainy than heroism. But like, the "everything sucks and the heroes are doing it wrong" villainy rather than out and out wanting to cause pain and suffering.
Josh could be the angel on your should telling you not to kill someone because that's something you can never take back, but he'll also be the devil who will tell you that stealing is fine so long as it's from people who can afford the loss. And he'll also be the guy who kills that guy for you, maybe without you knowing, if he thinks they're too much of a threat.
As Laurie's not here with him yet, he's also very open to making a lot of extremely ill-thought out choices to distract himself. He can be your fun friend who will drink way too much, party way too hard, and then cure your hangover in the morning.
So come to him for all your morally ambiguous himbo needs.
