Hello Heroes!
⚔︎ Firstly, we’d like to welcome Dani, Korel and Jessi on to the team to help out with all the things that need doing!
⚔︎ We have been looking at the major sticking points for the team, and have made some adjustments to prevent things from bottlenecking the way they have.
To this end, there is going to be some restructuring on the game calendar to space things out and give the team some breathing room.
⚔︎ The State of the Game will go up on the 1st of the month, and will also serve as the OOC Intro & Welcome post. This cuts down on the amount of posts the mod team needs to put together, and also allows us to work the arrival prompt into the set of monthly prompts.
⚔︎ Activity Checks will now run from the 20th to the 25th of every month. This is also when Application Interest will run, since given the invite only structure of the game, we are not very worried about overlap.
⚔︎ The Application period will now run from the 25th to the 30th of every month. On months with less than 30 days, such as this one, the app period will start a few days early. This month, the app period will start on the 23rd.
⚔︎ We are still looking at the best place to put events in this schedule. It may be better that they do not have a set date every month, but will instead be set at the start of the month in the State of the Game posts. We are working on pre-writing these events and setting up a backlog of them so we can focus more on personal player plots.
⚔︎ With this said, the plotting post for February's Event / the CR Meme will go up on February 5th. The CR Meme is being delayed so we can finish putting the preview into it.

THIS MONTH
⚔︎ NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER ARRIVALS LOSE THEIR FREE RIDE! When characters first arrived, the guilds promised to help them get their footing. Per notices sent to each occupied room, characters have until FEBRUARY 27TH before their stay at the Diadem Hotel comes to an end. Characters who commit to a guild may take advantage of the associated housing subsidy or may use their own personal income to secure private housing.
Players unsure whether this affects their characters can check on the GUILDS page. As characters are removed from the Diadem Hotel, players should comment to the HOUSING page with updates on where they are staying. The deadline for December arrivals is February 27.
⚔︎ LITTLE LOVE - All is quiet this month in Little Love. If you do not want to experience the events that will be happening in the other cities, this is where you’re going to want to vacation.
⚔︎ CENTRAL CITY — Central City is under siege! By below zero temperatures. The city is experiencing an unexpected cold snap, which scientists believe may be related to a surge of metahuman energies. Strange patterns appear to be forming in the clouds, and they will be attempting to recruit metahumans to go up and investigate. It may not be the smartest move, but they are offering a handsome compensation package.
The city is also reporting a record approval rating of metahumans. The metahuman citizens of this dour place may be surprised to find themselves suddenly being greeted warmly… so long as they don’t have a bad word to say about Fantastic.
It appears as though the meta-billionaire is using every bit of influence he has to bolster his alleged bid for Alliance leadership. Not that anyone is aware that its up for grabs, but Fantastic seems to know something others don’t.
⚔︎ SUNSET FALLS - Love is in the air! The White Hearts Festival, a festival dedicated to all forms of love - familial, friendship, and romantic - is in full swing!
The whole town is decked out in pinks, golds and reds. Town square has been overtaken by food booths peddling elaborate meals and desserts with various magical effects. It's probably better not to ask why some of the cookies being handed out are in the shape of anatomical hearts.
Truthfully, when it started it wasn't as cutesy as it is now. It became a lot more wholesome when people began to offer only chocolate hearts to the God of Love. Now it's fun for the whole family! ... So long as you don't veer into the woods. Some people still practice the old ways, and there are (what you hope to be) animal hearts nailed to trees. This is Sunset Falls, after all. Weird often goes hand in hand with terror.
Be wary of the snacks and trinkets that you can find in these booths, though. Many of them are enchanted with infatuation spells. Not out and out love spells, that will have you falling truly, madly deeply - but ones that may ignite a spark you have been ignoring.

⚔︎ EXCELSIOR - There’s a strange charge in the air in Excelsior. Something tastes… different.
Those living in this futuristic city may find themselves… dreaming more. A news report goes out a few days into the month stating that there is a new sleep study being run across the city. Apparently some unethical sorts have just decided to include its residents without asking permission. The report warns that you may have more vivid dreams than you are accustomed to.
These dreams may be of another life. Of an idealized life. You may wake and find yourself longing for those things to be true. Aching for that perfect world that you had behind closed lids.
ONCE THE EVENT GOES UP, EXCELSIOR AND ITS RESIDENTS WILL EXIST IN AN ALTERED STATE FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE WEEK
