Character Name & Journal: Avi koboldlygo Guild Affiliation: Avi has a persecution complex when it comes to trusting people who aren't fellow kobolds, so he'll be reluctant to join either group without evidence that he won't be exploited. Pragmatism will eventually push him toward membership, however, though it's a bit of a coin toss as to which one he'll choose. Both the Alliance and the Society would hold attraction for him, as someone who both wants to do the right thing and who spent much of his life as "the bad guy".
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: ICly, Avi is motivated by his self-imposed quest to uplift his race from their existence as low-level Lawful Evil mooks. He wants to learn everything he can, in hopes of discovering all the pieces necessary for building a peaceful civilization that can also protect itself from enemies. A smaller, more immediate goal would be figuring out how to coexist with superpowered strangers while lacking superpowers himself; as a 2'4 lizard boy who has to worry about being stepped on, it's a concern!
OOCly, I'd love to build CR that can bring his better traits to the surface, like his instinctive need to contribute and how protective he gets of his in-group, while also challenging him to be better. Culture clash is highly desired, too; kobolds are such weird little guys and explaining their unique perspective is really fun. A long-term goal would definitely be for someone(s) to convince him to live for himself, or at least to approach his self-imposed mission in a healthier way.
Plot/CR Hooks: Avi may be standoffish and mistrustful, but he's also too curious for his own good, able to rationalize sticking his nose into all sorts of strange places. He's closer to a newly-reformed villain than a hero, so while he wants to want to do what he now understands (sort of...) to be the right thing, he needs a push to be more proactive about it, versus maybe stepping in to lend a hand when Bad Things are happening in front of his eyes. As a little lizard guy, he's got a big chip on his shoulder about risking his hide for people he's already decided to envy, and could really do with some help in unpacking that; as a little lizard guy who'll be running around with swords, doing Weird Shit and angrily spurning tech like holo-watches or size-charms, hopefully he'll be at least visually interesting enough to chat up.
