Hello and welcome to all of our new friends for joining us in our early stages, and thank you to the playerbase at large for bearing with us as we iron out some of the kinks in our structures and info pages.

HOUSEKEEPING

⚔︎ A number of page revisions have been made, so please take a moment to review the following: FAQ | NETWORK GUIDELINES | LOCATIONS & HOUSING | GUILDS.

⚔︎ Notably, the guilds form has changed, and now asks players to identify the character's city of residence. Players who already selected a guild are asked to edit their forms to reflect "City of Residence" instead of "Preferred Housing."

⚔︎ Characters affiliated with the Society or Alliance whose players have not commented to the housing page have been randomly assigned roommates and housing. Be sure to check out the page to see your character's new situation. Unaligned characters who have not commented to housing are now considered homeless.

⚔︎ Say hello to our new mods! Lu and Lyn have joined the team to help juggle the game's workload. Please give them a warm welcome and all our gratitude for helping us ensure this game can continue to thrive!

⚔︎ Note that any player questions should come through official channels. Individual moderators will not be answering private questions. Questions about the general setting as it exists for everyone can be directed to the FAQ. However, players should direct specific questions related to character choices or actions as they engage or influence the setting or mod-run NPCs to the PLOTTING post as a 'brainstorming' submission.

⚔︎ For the April application round, any current player can extend one invitation. Players planning to invite someone this round should comment below with the player's information!

⚔︎ We have developed a DISCORD SERVER for the game. As a reminder, the moderators will not be monitoring the server's contents. However, players who have issues in the server are still welcome to bring their concerns to us at MOD CONTACT, just as they would with Plurk.

THIS MONTH

⚔︎ FEBRUARY ARRIVALS LOSE THEIR FREE RIDE! When characters first arrived, the guilds promised to help them get their footing. Per notices sent to each occupied room, characters have until APRIL 25TH before their stay at the Diadem Hotel comes to an end. Characters who commit to a guild may take advantage of the associated housing subsidy or may use their own personal income to secure private housing.

Players unsure whether this affects their characters can check on the GUILDS page. As characters are removed from the Diadem Hotel, players should comment to the HOUSING page with updates on where they are staying. The deadline for March arrivals is MAY 27.

⚔︎ CENTRAL CITY SUPPORT GROUPS — The monthly metahuman support group meeting is on the 10th. FRANCES STARLING, a world famous metahuman lawyer (and clone), is here to help all new metas cope with their new reality. Those who are uncomfortable with the idea of heroism or villainy can speak to her regarding the alternatives available.

⚔︎ A TASTE OF LITTLE LOVE — Repairs are mostly finished! Though the townsfolk could still use some helping hands. While they can’t give you much in the way of money, they will gladly invite you into their homes to share a hearty meal with you and lend a hand where ever you may need it in the future.

⚔︎ UNEXPECTED ROOMMATES IN SUNSET FALLS — Characters just moving in find their new houses are haunted. Maybe it’s benign, mischievous, or just downright malignant - that old Victorian has a big ghost problem. Local exorcists will gladly deal with this problem for a nominal fee, but there are also a number of citizens in town that can walk characters through how to peacefully co-exist (or even benefit from!) a freeloading spectre.

⚔︎ ENTER EXCELSIOR'S MATRIX The newly opened SIMULAB is a piece of cutting edge technology, capable of simulating just about anything you can imagine. For baseline humans this is a chance to live as a superhero, gaining the approximate strength of their favorites. For metahumans, this is an excellent place to test their powers.
