The ultimate answer will probably be unaligned, because Marc doesn't want to have to owe anyone anything. Steven, however, will very much want to join the Guardian Alliance because it's a chance to do something good or something wholesome like that. We'll see who wins out in the end. 👀

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals:

Some normalcy might be nice. Not that Marc Spector knows what normal's supposed to feel like anymore, and Steven's old normal was boring. But something in the middle would be okay.

As for what can be accomplished in game, the two of them learning how to co-exist better and using each other's strengths. They need friends. My god, do they need friends. Someone teach Marc that it's okay to let people into your life and also give Steven the validation he's never really had. They both lack connections for different reasons but would equally benefit from it.

Mostly, if they can just settle into some kind of life and find their footing, that would be aces

Plot/CR Hooks:

Marc is, as you may have guessed, a man of several personalities. We won't get into the reasons why just here, but the tl;dr is he began dissociating and that's how we get Steven. They are two very different people but (un)fortunately for your character, they are a package deal. If you befriend one, chances are that you'll eventually have to deal with the other. They even have their own different-but-the-same hero alter ego!

I'm currently undecided if they'll try to pretend they're just one person or twins or if they'll just lean into their situation and let people know right away what's going on with them. It would be fine to try and maneuver hiding it, but I know that with some people it may come up pretty naturally depending on the situation.

They will also be needing a job, especially if they don't affiliate with a guild. Steven would be quite happy working at a bookstore or something similar. Marc's skills are a bit more rough-and-tumble and could be used for manual labour/security/etc. You can check out my app (cw: abuse) for their skills and see if anything might be useful to your character!
