Hello and welcome to all of our new friends for joining us in our early stages, and thank you to the playerbase at large for bearing with us as we iron out some of the kinks in our structures and info pages.

HOUSEKEEPING
⚔︎ We have implemented a new rule for duplicate characters. After three alternates of a character have joined the game, permission from the mods and existing players must be given before more can be apped.
⚔︎ We have updated the network post with clarifications on how social media works in game and how to format post for different platforms. Please check out the online communication post for review.
⚔︎ We are reopening mod applications. If you are interested, please revisit this ooc post. We will particularly need folks willing to draft and edit OOC communications, code posts, and monitor schedules.
⚔︎ As a reminder, the mods are adjusting the structure of Confluences and arrivals. Confluences will be described in the OOC Intro & Plotting Post and there will not be a mod-posted log to accompany them. There will be a toplevel for players to ask questions, and another for new arrivals to post their arrival/intro logs.
Players are encouraged to post their own logs to play with these prompts. New arrivals are also free to handwave their arrivals, as the Guilds have set up means to catch players before they hit the ground.
⚔︎ As always, we open the floor for PLAYER PLOTS to cause Confluences and trigger arrival events! These players will be responsible for log drafting, as Taylor was with the Excelsior Fear plot, as well as a short bulleted list of plot hooks for the OOC intro and plotting post. These events can be caused by player characters, or by short term villain NPCs who players invent. Players who want to volunteer to craft a Confluence log should volunteer at the PLOTTING POST or MOD CONTACT

THIS MONTH
⚔︎ APRIL ARRIVALS LOSE THEIR FREE RIDE! When characters first arrived, the guilds promised to help them get their footing. Per notices sent to each occupied room, characters have until JUNE 29TH before their stay at the Diadem Hotel comes to an end. Characters who commit to a guild may take advantage of the associated housing subsidy or may use their own personal income to secure private housing.
Players unsure whether this affects their characters can check on the GUILDS page. As characters are removed from the Diadem Hotel, players should comment to the HOUSING page with updates on where they are staying. The deadline for May arrivals is JULY 26.
⚔︎ CENTRAL CITY — It's Pride Month! Don't miss out on the fun and join your local LGBTQ superheroes at the annual Pride Parade. The city has been decked out in colorful banners, flags and even pinwheels for the ongoing festivities!
⚔︎ LITTLE LOVE - An alarming case of tornadoes have been wrecking havoc upon the town. They only seem to occur in the middle of the night. Are these tornadoes caused by a bizarre natural phenomena or could they be the work of something far more sinister? In any case, a pair of magical red slippers won't be of help here!
⚔︎ OTHERWORLDY WHISPERS in SUNSET FALLS - Something appears to be trying to make a psychic connection with the locals. As you walk the city streets, you may be struck with flashes of otherworldly images. Bright colors and light that sears your eyes through closed lids. Many voices reach out as one, warning of caution.
Something else came through the rift last month. It looms large on the horizon, caught between their world and this one.
⚔︎ CHANGING MOODS in EXCELSIOR - While Excelsior is no stranger to science going awry, never has the city seen so many metahumans lose control of their abilities. While their public image remains accepting and open, any out metahumans in the city may find themselves being treated very differently. People are giving them a wide berth, as if afraid that they'll snap and go off at any second.
Bad actors are capitalizing upon this unrest and using it to gain power and clout within the city. While metahumans who gained their abilities through science or technology are exempt from this scorn, magical metas or naturally occurring metas are being scapegoated for the disaster across social media.
