Character Name & Journal: Jaskier | rollstoseduce Guild Affiliation: He'll spend his two hotel months unaligned to get used to things, and then he'll join the Guardian Alliance. Usually, Jaskier is on the chaotic side of things, but he knows you gotta play the game to get access to those precious resources. Besides, he can get behind an organization that actually helps people??? (sounds fake) Anyway, this means he may still be up to help any unaligned and "fuck da police" people if he sees something interesting, and won't hesitate to drop the Alliance if something suspicious comes to light.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Jaskier is a barker for a hero in canon, and that will be his role here as well. Once he begins to understand technology, he'll have two youtube channels: one for the civilian musician, and the other for the superhero bard. Part of his act will be teasing the audience as a civilian, implying something about his identity and support of metas. Jaskier has magic similar to a D&D bard, and he's a support class. He wants to offer boosts to other heroes in exchange for recording their adventures and putting them on his channel. He'll write songs about anyone that lets him (and by that I mean OOCly, ICly he doesn't care about permission, oops) and his ultimate goal is to improve the metas' reputation. Once he gets a decent following, he'd love to organize charity events. listen, with this amount of himbos in one place, we clearly need a carwash going
Plot/CR Hooks: Later, Jaskier would love to help a situation like Atlantis', but he just got here so he'll spend his first few weeks getting used to technology and new magic. His tdm thread is kept as his game-canon intro if you want to jump there (just change nets for the sea haha), but I'm not opposed to someone rescuing him from the waters, lmk if you wanna be that person!
I also have a network post already planned for mid-July about him testing his powers, but meanwhile, I'm open to closed log threads! Some possible hooks:
-Medieval fantasy guy needs to learn modern stuff. Indoor plumbing has already been a blessing. Still unsure about pens, they destroy his calligraphy. Condoms? Best invention known to a man. Please teach him important words like "himbo" and "MILF". Any tips for the washing machine? He cares a lot about his outfits. ALSO WHERE CAN HE GET A LIFE SUPPLY OF THIS CHOCOLATE THING? -Anything art related if you want to bump into him at the museum or library, but he's a musician and writer first. He'll try every instrument and make ten dozens Spotify playlists. Teach him how to dance these new-to-him rhythms and how to rickroll. Also, you may find him at every karaoke bar in the city. Have music-related arguments with him. ♫ Baby shark doo doo doo ♫ -He's curious in general so if he sees your character doing something ~special~ he'll have a hundred questions for you. -Loves shopping and the guild's credit card must be burned with expenses. Also he loves looking fashionable and learning grooming techniques. -Fandom calls him the Taylor Swift of the Continent. Offend him and he will write a mean song about you. -This is more for the long run, but he'll want someone that can use a spell/technology to make him a camera that follows him around. -Magic training montage!!! -(cw: mention of torture and drinking) Probably also for the long run unless someone catches him in the hotel, but Jaskier is arriving at the game after a few weeks of heavy plot in his canon. He didn't have time to recover from his torture and he's been dealing with it by drinking. Being here allows him to ignore the issue and while the new setting is helpful for his health and mood, he still deals with nightmares by drowning them in alcohol. Heroes giving him tips of how to deal with it are welcome. I know, I know, >anyone here having healthy coping skills -Wildcard! Hit me with your ideas.
