Birdie Lewis | Original (Vampire: The Masquerade)

Player Name & Pronouns: Gidget (she/her)
Preferred Communication: [plurk.com profile] barbequed | fruitlets#2046

Character Name & Journal: Bridget 'Birdie' Lewis ([personal profile] acaseofyou)

Guild Affiliation: She'll be as unaffiliated as possible for as long as possible, though if anyone can sway her it'd be the villains.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: First off, here's a brief nonsense glossary of V:tM stuff and her app. Long story short, folk music singing anti-war hippie vampire from a small group of singing vampires in a world of subterfuge and politics is kinda bad at out-manipulating someone in power, gets stuck in Denver for nearly ten years, and is now ready to not be stuck anywhere thanks so much.

Birdie is coming in (up?) after both being very much stuck in one place, and also something very distressing. She's used to changing scenery and moving around, and is going to be very glad to be out of Denver, but she's going to have none of the usual resources at her disposal. Main goals are going to be figuring out what's going on and who to trust, and who not to trust. And while any blood provided for her at the Diadem by the guilds will be nice, she'll want to make sure she's got a quiet spot to perform and get her own little group of fans to feed off of outside of that.

Plot/CR Hooks:
• She's a vampire! More traditional in some ways, and typically trying very hard to hide that whole being dead issue. (Sun bad, so she's only ever around at night, doesn't have a beating heart, all that fun stuff.) Would be a shame if that whole secret was blown immediately for anyone around to notice she doesn't need to breathe underwater.
• Her more signature powers come from her specific vampire bloodline, and all involve her voice. Most notably the ability to manipulate her audience's emotions with her song. In Denver she used this for crowd control, essentially keeping everybody calm and receptive to the Prince's plans, and typically she's found it handy in getting fans in the mood to have her get real close to their necks. But also one time before Denver she went too hard on 'You're So Vain' and nearly started a riot, so there's many wonderful and terrible ways that can go.
• Given the usual level of secrecy she's used to, she'll probably try to network with less-than-virtuous contacts when she's able to, but she's genial enough to get along well with heroes, too. Birdie doesn't pay any mind to looks or general weirdness, either, especially after hanging out a lot with Nosferatu and Malkavians.
• Would you like to be a vampire's juice box? (Don't worry she's nice about it.)
