Loki will find it very difficult to strengthen the wards. The aether itself is thinning, and Loki may need to put parts of himself into the wards to properly strengthen them.

The D’Amicos are trackable. They hide in plain sight, operating out of buildings of businesses they own and manage. Getting in is easy, but they are a proverbial venus fly trap - getting out is near impossible. Once inside, any meta will be hit with heavy anti-meta fortifications. While their hideouts appear to be ordinary buildings on the outside, getting close to these buildings is difficult. Anyone with powers will quickly find themselves weakened, physically and mentally, and at the mercy of some very well armed guards.
