Player Plot Recruitment: Don't Do the Robo-Crime if You Can't Do the Robo-Time

Aran (player of Spinister/ optionwhatever ) and I are looking to recruit some people into a little player plot we've been brainstorming! There are a few different ways people can be effected by it, so we're hoping to get some volunteers.

This plot is centered in the area around Excelsior, WA.

Both the guilds and the local authorities have been baffled by recent disappearances of large volumes of fuel, ranging the typical stuff like gasoline and diesel for personal vehicles to jet fuel intended for the local airports! As a result, local gasoline prices are shooting up, the operations at the airport are in danger of being curtailed or shut down entirely, and people are demanding something be done about it as they begin to feel the pinch at the pump. What little information available suggests a group of thieves, as different faces have been caught driving trucks away from the scene of the crime, though some people claim that there's even a helicopter involved.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to track down the fuel thieves and stop their reign of terror. We're seeking a few types of people to deal with this nonsense:

• Heroes/Villains associated with the guilds especially who have been assigned to put a stop to this, as it harms everyones bottom line. Techy heroes a plus.
• PCs to volunteer to have their faces borrowed by the giant robots in question as they change up their holographic avatars to avoid being recognized on various surveillance footages
• A PC or PCs associated with the guilds (especially the Society) who want to be assigned to be a giant robot probation officer at the conclusion of the plot

The goal here is to have the ne're-do-well robots tracked down and stopped/beat-up/arrested/captured in some manner--Drift and Spinister are thieves in this case, but aren't really looking to get into serious trouble with the authorities by killing a bunch of humans. Originally I thought of how hilariously dumb it'd be if they borrowed Godzilla's face for a disguise when he can't even drive.

But then he could try and sniff out a trail of the stolen gasoline like a bloodhound. And prompt a chase scene along the way.
