HOUSEKEEPING
⚔︎ We are reopening mod applications. If you are interested, please visit this ooc post. We are particularly seeking for folks who can assist with plot writing and engagement.
⚔︎ We have updated the ENGAGEMENT POSTS, so please feel free to take a look at them! Players who are interested in crafting a mini event or arc can submit their ideas at PLAYER PLOTS. If you want to follow up on an event, investigate the setting or interact with a NPC, you can hit up SETTING ENGAGEMENT and NPC ENGAGEMENT respectively.
⚔︎ As a reminder, the mods are adjusting the structure of Confluences and arrivals. Confluences will be described in the OOC Intro & Plotting Post and there will not be a mod-posted log to accompany them. There will be a toplevel for players to ask questions, and another for new arrivals to post their arrival/intro logs.
Players are encouraged to post their own logs to play with these prompts. New arrivals are also free to handwave their arrivals, as the Guilds have set up means to catch players before they hit the ground.
⚔︎ For the August application round, any current player can extend one invitation. Players planning to invite someone this round should comment below with the player's information!

THIS MONTH
⚔︎ JUNE ARRIVALS LOSE THEIR FREE RIDE! When characters first arrived, the guilds promised to help them get their footing. Per notices sent to each occupied room, characters have until AUGUST 27TH before their stay at the Diadem Hotel comes to an end. Characters who commit to a guild may take advantage of the associated housing subsidy or may use their own personal income to secure private housing.
Players unsure whether this affects their characters can check on the GUILDS page. As characters are removed from the Diadem Hotel, players should comment to the HOUSING page with updates on where they are staying. The deadline for July arrivals is SEPTEMBER 27.
⚔︎ CENTRAL CITY — August comes to Central City with a sweltering heat. Being outside is muggy and miserable, and it's putting a lot of people in a foul mood. Crime continues to be high, and occasionally things like buildings and cars seem to be...partially melting? Maybe not all of last month's weirdness is gone quite yet.
⚔︎ LITTLE LOVE - Little Love is seeing a little bit of expansion lately! More metas have moved into the little town, both off-worlders and locals who happened through during the recent UFO incidents and enjoyed the rural tranquility. Some new houses are going up in the surrounding area, although not all the locals are thrilled about this.
⚔︎ SUNSET FALLS - Sunset Falls, a town used to oddities, has bounced back pretty well from everything that happened last month. It's business as usual, which means that it's back to school season! In a magical town like this one, that carries a few different connotations; namely, kids with a talent for the supernatural are getting together and starting to learn the basics of their craft! This results in a lot of wild, random magical surges - never anything too powerful or really harmful, but you might find your hair changing colors or your belongings growing legs and walking away.
⚔︎ EXCELSIOR - Excelsior is currently working to repair all the damage done during the recent blackout! Local street gangs and common unpowered criminals have gained confidence even after metas regained their powers, resulting in an uptick in petty crime. Some of the area's less scrupulous scientists also seem to have been inspired by the power-shuffling that went on; there's rumors of renewed efforts to find ways to depower magical metas, or grant powers of that nature to regular people, through scientific means.
