OOC INTRO & PLOTTING
HELLO, HEROES AND VILLAINS! Welcome to metaheroes! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. This is both our OOC introduction and plotting for your initial arrival! Please use the information below to guide your plotting as you settle in.

You are free to post your intro after reading this post! We will not be posting a log for this.

The GUILDS have begun employing safety measures to prevent new arrivals from destroying the cities they land in. As seen on the last TEST DRIVE MEME, the cities have set up ways to intercept the new arrivals and bring them to headquarters as quickly as possible.

ARRIVAL - LITTLE LOVE

This month, new arrivals will find themselves descending amid an already dizzying flurry of white. A supernatural blizzard has hit the little town of Little Love, Kansas, driving the residents inside and covering everything around in feet of snow. The storm came on suddenly and without warning, so residents are frantically working to get everyone inside, including their farm animals, and batten down the hatches of their barns and farmhouses for a whiteout.

Upon hitting the ground, chances are that new arrivals will find themselves lost out in the cold. It's freezing enough to be very dangerous, unless you happen to have some sort of superhuman resistance. A lot of buildings have also lost power, but luckily quite a few of the folks out here have generators and are keeping their lights burning - a few houses even have Christmas lights still on outside! Hopefully you can catch sight of some of these safe havens and make your way in that direction. If you can make it to a home, or even a store where a bunch of others might be stranded, you'll be welcomed inside.

Of course, the new arrivals aren't the only ones caught off-guard. A lot of the locals are in need of aid too. Many buildings have lost power, both residences and public places, and the people stranded there are now desperately trying to keep warm. There's also a lot of folks still stuck outside - some trapped in cars that are quickly vanishing under snowdrifts, some who were out walking or riding bikes completely unprepared to meet with this kind of weather, and of course plenty of horses and cows who need to be rounded up and brought to safety!

After a while, emergency Guild responders will arrive to Little Love. If players so choose, they can handwave their characters eventually being picked up and brought to the DIADEM HOTEL.

LODGINGS —

Once the Guardian Alliance arrives in Little Love to offer new arrivals an explanation and transport back to CENTRAL CITY, characters will be provided with lodgings in the DIADEM HOTEL. Here, guests are offered the finest home away from home experience you could ever hope for. Their culinary staff are capable of cooking up everything from hotdogs to gourmet cuisine. The pool, lounge, and fitness rooms are all open 24/7. Given the continued influx of new guests, arrivals may find their rooms have been double-booked. Hopefully it's a room with two queen-sized beds instead of a king!

Characters are also free to roam CENTRAL CITY and get their bearings, though at the moment, with the guilds distracted and the city doing major repairs following the damage by the Confluence, there is plenty of crime to stop or cause. Characters will be given cell phones with three months of pre-paid unlimited data and assistance with setting up social media accounts on the guild networks, as well as credit cards to help them start a life here.

Player characters will be offered the chance to join the guilds. Those who join will be offered housing at one of the four major cities, with each one offering a different living experience. Characters have two months to decide if they want to throw in with one of the guilds and enjoy the perks of membership, or deal with making their own way in the world without their support.

Character Name & Journal: Thaddeus "Thad" Thawne II mirror_soldier
Guild Affiliation: Unaffiliated. He'll be way too paranoid of the guilds to sign up.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Thad is a clone who was created for a single purpose, and he's never really been allowed to want anything outside of that. So he doesn't really know what he wants, what to do with himself, or who he is devoid of that purpose. Right now, the only goal he has available to him is figuring that out, and honestly, he's not sure if he wants to.
Plot/CR Hooks: Since doing the whole hero thing was something Thad genuinely enjoyed during the time he spent imitating his genetic original, and it's something to give him some semblance of purpose again, he'll be out helping people; with the snow and/or fighting crime.

He'll also be out looking for jobs, since he doesn't want to rely on the guilds but would also like to avoid being homeless after his two months are up. I'm also up for having him find out he's been roomed with another newcomer. So if anyone is interested in having their character forced to suffer a persnickety, unsocialized, feral teen, hit me up for that.

Thad is also a clone of Bart Allen (Kid Flash), and aside from his younger age and blond hair, it's very obvious. So feel free to have characters recognize him, or pick up on the fact that they're, at the very least, related.

Poor Thad is going to get so much suspicion. The only people he's ever mentioned Thad to that didn't meet him personally in canon are Jason Todd and David Alleyne. But Bart wants to give him a chance.

Eh, he deserves it/expects it. He'll be fiiiiine. I'm excited for some negative CR for him TBH.

And yeah, Thad can not for the life of him understand why Bart would want to give him a chance. Not really. Not even with his explanation of it.

Mostly because he realized at one point he had that chance, and it allowed him to find his feet and run. And he's curious who Thad will turn out to be.

And if Thad ends up one of Jason's flock, he'll also get CR with the ooze cat.

In opposition to that, Thad is not interested in figuring out who he'll turn out to be. That is a nebules and scary unknown. XD

Yeeessss! I would love for him to get to interact with Sleeper! Who's the cutest little ooze monster in the known universe?

Sleeper objects to being called little. When they want to be big, they are. Recently they did an ooze-tiger.

It will be fun to have one character with too many preconceptions and one with none.

I would love to continue the CR Thad & Cass have started building! I think it has a lot of neat potential, especially with Cass also being born/raised to do Murder and having had to learn who she is outside of what was expected of her.

She is 100% willing to throw down with anyone who tries to mess with Thad based on his past. This includes other Bats.

God, I love Cass, and their CR has been so great! It would be awesome if they could get to a point where they can bond over shared "I was raised for murder" trama.

And the fact she's willing to fight the other bats over him! She has my whole heart!
