metaheroes! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. This is both our OOC introduction and plotting for your initial arrival! Please use the information below to guide your plotting as you settle in.

The GUILDS have begun employing safety measures to prevent new arrivals from destroying the cities they land in. As seen on the last TEST DRIVE MEME, the cities have set up ways to intercept the new arrivals and bring them to headquarters as quickly as possible.

The GUILDS have begun employing safety measures to prevent new arrivals from destroying the cities they land in. As seen on the last TEST DRIVE MEME, the cities have set up ways to intercept the new arrivals and bring them to headquarters as quickly as possible.
ARRIVAL - LITTLE LOVE
It’s been a year since the first confluence rocked Little Love, and so it’s no surprise that once again the sky opens and people begin to plummet towards the ground. If you are one of the lucky few tumbling towards the frozen earth - don’t worry! After a year of these, the Guilds have it pretty well in hand. The mages throw up their hands and catch you in a barrier, gently lowering you down to the ground.
Little Love isn’t much to look at. It’s barely a dot on the map. A cow moos balefully and fixes you with its soulful gaze. Someone sneezes. Another person offers you a jacket, while someone else tries to gently discourage anyone from screaming and panicking. You’ve been whisked away to another world, one where superpowers are very real - and yes, you have them. Please be very careful and do not try to activate them until you are in a safe space.
Some among you might not listen, too eager to test out your new powers. Others maybe find their powers suddenly activating at the rush of emotion that comes with being told that you have strange new abilities. The second that happens, you’re thrown headfirst through a portal into a large white receiving room. There are pamphlets labeled WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE DIMENSIONALLY DISPLACED and BEING ONE OF THE SKYFALLEN: WHAT DOES IT MEAN? Evidently, they’ve gotten sick of calling everyone “those people from away” and gone with the popular public nickname.
There are heroes and villains in this neutral space, and each will offer you their own pitch. But once you’ve gotten the rundown, you’re allowed to go free.
If players so choose, they can handwave their characters escaping from the crowd to explore Little Love on their own. If they so choose, they can later be be picked up and brought to the DIADEM HOTEL.

LODGINGS —
Once the Guardian Alliance arrives in Little Love to offer new arrivals an explanation and transport back to CENTRAL CITY, characters will be provided with lodgings in the DIADEM HOTEL. Here, guests are offered the finest home away from home experience you could ever hope for. Their culinary staff are capable of cooking up everything from hotdogs to gourmet cuisine. The pool, lounge, and fitness rooms are all open 24/7. Given the continued influx of new guests, arrivals may find their rooms have been double-booked. Hopefully it's a room with two queen-sized beds instead of a king!
Characters are also free to roam CENTRAL CITY and get their bearings, though at the moment, with the guilds distracted and the city doing major repairs following the damage by the Confluence, there is plenty of crime to stop or cause. Characters will be given cell phones with three months of pre-paid unlimited data and assistance with setting up social media accounts on the guild networks, as well as credit cards to help them start a life here.
Player characters will be offered the chance to join the guilds. Those who join will be offered housing at one of the four major cities, with each one offering a different living experience. Characters have two months to decide if they want to throw in with one of the guilds and enjoy the perks of membership, or deal with making their own way in the world without their support.

Character Name & Journal: Daniel "Danny" Chase
Guild Affiliation: Alliance
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Danny is a telekinetic kid raised by spies, who's been in and out of the hero game. He's dropping in not too long after his mentor/pseudo-parental figure snapped, and tried to destroy New York and murder him with a bomb. And he's mostly trying to avoid thinking about how that makes him feel, but one thing is for sure, it definitely hasn't helped his paranoia any.
He'll be joining the Alliance as soon as they pitch their recruitment at him. Specifically, because he trusts them about as far as he can kick them, and he'll think the best way to keep an eye on the Guild is from inside it. But he's likely going to either downplay his telekinesis or try and mask it as some other kind of power. Because the less they know about what he's capable of, the better.
Plot/CR Hooks:
>> teen friends wanted - How can I put this delicately?...Danny has no friends! Or, well, he had one friend but the kid died horribly, because comics. But for the most part, Danny hasn't had much opportunity to be around kids his own age and I would like to rectify that. Under all his "I was a teenage spy and I've seen some shit"-ness he's really just a goofy little nerd who loves comics, video games, and B Horror schlock. And he just really needs some people he's actually allowed to unwind with and be a kid around, instead of constantly having to work to act like he's just as mature and capable as the adults in his life needed/expected him to be.
>> training - While he's not exactly interested in any new mentors, he could use help learning to fight without his telekinesis. Seeing as he's going to be trying to rely on it less.
>> alliance - He'll likely be poking around his fellow Alliance members, trying to make connections, digging around for info, and trying to figure out who could be a possible ally in the case the Guilds are as shady as he thinks they are.

Like we were discussing before, I'm down for Danny and Jason to recognize each other. Depending on how things go, Jason might not be too forthcoming about who he is now since A Lot happened to him. Whoops.

I do wonder if Jason would even know that Danny had died not too long after he did. The Titans never exactly made a memorial for him. Writers always treat him like the Titans secret shame, which doesn't exactly reflect well on the team in canon.

Since Danny was a friend close to his age, I can also see him digging deeper and then be pretty upset when he finds the death certificate. It'd reinforce how he feels about teenager sidekicks too.

I think if Danny ever figures out he died in that universe he'll probably have a reaction like "My parents had me in the field since I was six, what were the chances I was going to make it to drinking age either way".

Since everybody's getting dumped into Little Love this month, figured I'd offer Six up as a potential sparring partner for unpowered combat or just bumping into Danny at some point at Alliance HQ when he goes in. :)
