OOC INTRO & PLOTTING
HELLO, HEROES AND VILLAINS! Welcome to metaheroes! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. This is both our OOC introduction and plotting for our arrival event! Please use the information below to guide your plotting as you settle in.

SUNSET FALLS —

New characters will arrive by crashing up through the floorboards of Sunset Falls' gymnasium.

During the arrival log, characters will be faced with ghosts of long dead heroes and villains who have been reawakened by their arrival. These ghosts do not appear to respond to reason and seem to view te player characters as some sort of threat, have full control of their abilities and must be fought until their energy has been exhausted.

A fire elemental will also be manifesting in the city, setting it ablaze with every step it takes. Player characters will need to work together to contain this blaze and defeat the source of the inferno.

LODGINGS —

Once the Guardian Alliance arrives on the scene in Excelsior and controls the situation, characters will be provided with lodgings in the DIADEM HOTEL. Here, guests are offered the finest home away from home experience you could ever hope for. Their culinary staff are capable of cooking up everything from hotdogs to gourmet cuisine. The pool, lounge, and fitness rooms are all open 24/7. Given the continued influx of new guests, arrivals may find their rooms have been double-booked. Hopefully it's a room with two queen-sized beds instead of a king!

Characters are also free to roam CENTRAL CITY and get their bearings, though at the moment, with the guilds distracted and the city doing major repairs following the damage by the Confluence, there is plenty of crime to stop or cause. Characters will be given cell phones with three months of pre-paid unlimited data and assistance with setting up social media accounts on the guild networks, as well as credit cards to help them start a life here.

Player characters will be offered the chance to join the guilds. Those who join will be offered housing at one of the four major cities, with each one offering a different living experience. Characters have two months to decide if they want to throw in with one of the guilds and enjoy the perks of membership, or deal with making their own way in the world without their support.

PACTS MADE —

Finally, another entity has followed the new arrivals to Central City. A disembodied demon will be taking up residence in the city and will be attempting to coax characters into making a pact with it. Anyone who takes the demon up on this offer will have a wish granted, in exchange for a fragment of their soul. While there is no immediate consequence to this - selling part of your soul to a demon surely can't go without consequence. This plot is here for player plots and conflict rather than holding overarching narrative significance.

Guild Affiliation: he'd probably end up with the guardians, if he joins up with anything.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: of course, he'd like to get back home eventually since he's got a lot going on there but he's also going to want to (begrudgingly) make sure the younger population is taken care of and isn't about to end up getting themselves killed.

he'll be coming off a major loss and maybe a little desperate to see if there's any magic in the world that can bring someone back from the dead.
Plot/CR Hooks: clint's a tired old man, really. he's a regular human who uses a piece of wood and string to take out baddies. but he's been doing it for a long time and he's still alive so he must be doing something right. he's an avenger though he'd say he's retired at this point in time and he just wants to sit on his porch and rest.

of course, that's not going to happen. he's a pretty good mentor when he wants to be though he's kind of grumpy. also, he's partially deaf so that'll be a thing that'll be noticeable too.

Nice to meet you! I'm Churby, and I play one of the Marvel comics muses here. Glad to see Clint here, and would love to eventually get David to meet Clint here. Mostly because of David's passing association with the Kate Bishop in his own world (given he's never met his own Clint, and only ever heard stories about him).

heya! i don't know much about marvel comics except what i learn through osmosis but i think we can definitely get that cr going!

A lot of people don't and I love that sometimes. I think it works better here than in some other cases because David doesn't have a lot of canon baggage with Clint, but rather knows his protege well, and other teammates of his, so he doesn't come in with as much 'wow I'm comparing you to this other version I know' than a lot of other MCU characters. Means he can more easily see and respect Clint for who he is as MCU clint, and then maybe share stories on the side if Clint is curious, and only then.

oh yeah, clint'll be curious once he gets over the initial wtf. he'll definitely be curious about all these other places and universes.

David would even be happy to pass on what he knows about the history of the Hawkeye in his own world, and other Avengers, if Clint is ever curious.

If nothing else, David would happily applaud Clint for not using what amounts to a poorly thought out leather skirt as part of his costume, and the ability to not lose his shirt in like, every fight.

so uh at amadeus' canon point he's fresh off seeing clint get off scot free after killing bruce so this might be interesting

amadeus is a former hulk fanboy turned actual hulk so you can imagine how he feels about things right now :'D
