OOC INTRO & PLOTTING
HELLO, HEROES AND VILLAINS! Welcome to metaheroes! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. This is both our OOC introduction and plotting for our arrival event! Please use the information below to guide your plotting as you settle in.

LITTLE LOVE, KANSAS —

This month appears to be a little different. Though all the signs of a confluence appear there is no sign of any new arrivals. The gathering waits with baited breath and then finds nothing of interest occurs. Lightning strikes a potato field and that appears to be that.

People in town begin to go missing the next day. Both the new arrivals and the missing people have been planted deep under the field by the confluence's newest creation: giant, sapient potatoes of surprising strength. These potatoes seem to function as a hive-mind. Some arrivals may have been planted too deeply and may have spent the last night in an underground cave system, unable to break through the cave due to the potato's roots. Characters can fall into this cave system during combat. The water down here is glowing and, if drank, will cause you to become temporarily bio-luminescent and empathic to plants. Down there they will be able to locate the source of these monsters.

You will need to fight or tame these potato monsters in order to get the town back to normal.

LODGINGS —

Once the Guardian Alliance arrives on the scene in Excelsior and controls the situation, characters will be provided with lodgings in the DIADEM HOTEL. Here, guests are offered the finest home away from home experience you could ever hope for. Their culinary staff are capable of cooking up everything from hotdogs to gourmet cuisine. The pool, lounge, and fitness rooms are all open 24/7. Given the continued influx of new guests, arrivals may find their rooms have been double-booked. Hopefully it's a room with two queen-sized beds instead of a king!

Characters are also free to roam CENTRAL CITY and get their bearings, though at the moment, with the guilds distracted and the city doing major repairs following the damage by the Confluence, there is plenty of crime to stop or cause. Characters will be given cell phones with three months of pre-paid unlimited data and assistance with setting up social media accounts on the guild networks, as well as credit cards to help them start a life here.

Player characters will be offered the chance to join the guilds. Those who join will be offered housing at one of the four major cities, with each one offering a different living experience. Characters have two months to decide if they want to throw in with one of the guilds and enjoy the perks of membership, or deal with making their own way in the world without their support.

BUD THE SPUD —

Finally, in the aftermath of all of this, Little Love will require some ongoing assistance with pruning its new monsterous plant population. The older of these beasts seem amenable to being taken in and given a home. The younger ones keep trying to kidnap and plant people. The town seems surprisingly okay with this new breed of potato and some comment that it's the tenderest potato they've ever eaten.

Job interview works! Jason will want to be under-the-table as well. He's a Bat so he's got a healthy sense of distrust/paranoia about getting tracked.

Jason's vigilante activities he'll keep close to the vest but that has potential to cross with GM's quest if the opportunity somehow comes up.

Also, gadget shenanigans sound like fun so I'm all in for that as well.

That thread we had on the TDM is/was adorable and GM would absolutely show up in a few days as promised with the cash, but also try and see if Angela was down for More Schenanigins. With getting paid, of course.

Such would take time re; opening up but I am VERY down for this CR.

Guild Affiliation: Unaffiliated. She has a complicated relationship with teams.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Harley’s here for trouble and a good time. I’d say not necessarily in that order but… it’s definitely in that order. She thrives on chaos so she’s less likely to be worried about joining a guild and more interested in figuring about these nifty new powers she has (which, speaking of, if you recognize them from another game it’s not plagiarism… I played a comic Harley there and lifted those powers because they were fun to play with!)

I’d definitely love any and all CR, both positive and negative? Though I also understand that there are a lot of characters here who won’t trust her right off the bat (and with good reason!)

Though she probably won’t actively be looking at guilds at first, joining one isn’t completely off the table… it’ll probably just depend on whether she ends up thinking it’ll be beneficial enough to her to do so.

Plot/CR Hooks: Definitely an antagonist. But the best thing about Harls is that it’s pretty easy to explain away why she’s in… pretty much any situation because so little of what she does makes sense 😂 If there’s any characters who’d be interested in roller derby let’s chat! Or anyone who’d be into a throw down (she’s got some new super strength she’d love to have fun with).

She’s also got Bruce the hyena with her for plenty of hijinks and nonsense! And, lbr, any scenario where she could be minding her own business/looking out for her own best interests and then accidentally end up being heroic would be fabulous!

kamala's player and i have some vague ideas of making a teen hero team at some point and either way i'd love to see some teen team ups

Ummm can I tell you when I was looking at the taken list and dreaming up schemes, Amadeus and Kamala were precisely two of the people I wanted to fling Tim at?

Missing teen is something Tim would look into if he saw the story if you want xey to be found.

If xey gives Jason a job, he’d feel he has to warn xem about Jason unless Jason’s checked in the other Bats in game.

Finally, as an originally not powered vigilante, he’d be concerned about this feral teen vigilante that seemingly no one’s training.

I've been plotting with Jason's player; since GM isn't the one who calls the shots, it's very likely he'll get that job, especially if he's under the table because eyyyyy tax-free. Considering GM is probably going to Very Much Dislike Jason Edging On Xeir Turf at first, xey'll definitely be interested in any Juicy Gossip about the new hire that could lead to him being shooed away.

Noted. I’ll absolutely touch base with Jason’s player first, but I love causing chaos.

Feral is said with love. A surprisingly number of the Young Justice/Teen Titans kids have a feral period. Or. Are still having.

I'm down for chaos of multiple sorts! Given a choice between Dramatic Tension and Chaotic Schenanigins, I tend to choose the latter more often than not.

And beautiful, so he knows how to handle one. Maybe. Possibly.

Harley exists in Jason's Gotham and presumably is still with the Joker. Soo... this CR might be a great disaster or Jason might somehow eventually get past his anger and respect DCEU Harley for no longer being with the Joker.

It was a fairly innocuous, short relationship, so it won't be too tricky, but... Another fun beat of inter-universe fuckery for all!
