GUIDELINES

This game has no minimum activity requirement for posts and comments. To this end, links to threads are not required. Please read the guidance below for how to check-in and register a continued interest in playing.

NEW PLAYERS
Players accepted in this calendar month need to respond with links to their TAKEN CHARACTERS comment and ensure that all character information is posted and up to date. Double-check that all your character's game information is correct — including community membership and character tags.

CONTINUING PLAYERS
All continuing players must check in. Failure to complete the form below by the last day of the activity check-in period may result in characters being swept from the game. Players can reapply for their swept characters during the next application cycle.

Players have until 5PM EST on February 29th to reply. Happy Leap Year!

FORM

The form below asks players to summarize their character's actions for the month. When completing the form, players should consider aspects of their characters' lives like work, resource gathering, interpersonal relationship development, personality growth, and how the character's reputation with the guilds and the world at large may have changed.

Please also remember to comment on the HOUSING page with any preferences. Characters who have commented to the Guilds page but not the Housing page will be randomly assigned housing at the end of the activity period.

Links are otherwise not required, but players who include activity links to threads in their summaries and/or make clear reference to the resources they're gathering and relationships they're building may find that their characters ICly receive extra support from the guilds when attempting to run plots.

Summary: It's been an eventful month for Dee. He's started touching base with Mechanima to kick off this mentorship and on top of working on ways to deal with the whole star shard issue, has a potential spaceship to build. All the upsides are tempered with a down, making Donnie question how close he should allow himself to get to people around here when they can just vanish back home without warning. He's never experienced that kind of a loss before, and it's shaken him up a bit. Thankfully Jason's reminded him to take advantage of the time he has around here with anyone.

Naturally just when he's getting his feet back under him, some sea-brained nutjob comes and starts a war with the landlubbers so Donnie's out there fighting alongside his fellow Starfallen to the best of his abilities, up until the one loss he's always dreaded but never ever expected this way happens. ...he might be ready to throw hands with another god in the near future but he might also be willing to make some unhealthy deals, whatever it takes to get his brother back.

Summary: Prior to the From the Seas event, Mayuko made her monthly visit to the Descendant with members of her security detail in tow. They brought a little White Hearts Festival flair with them.

For the event, Mayuko attended the all-hands meeting and is getting kelpie'd. Good times!

Summary: Barbara died as she lived, making her father proud and saving others. And while her friends would have rescued her, our girl is no princess in need of saving -- she can save her own damn self. Or she can pick between waiting for the final battle in Valhalla and leading heroes to Valhalla instead.

Of course, she went with the second choice. So Batgirl will now be spending time working for Odin as a Valkyrie as needed.

Summary: Started off the month getting into it with Tim and Jason, left for a couple weeks because that's what Bruce does when he's mad and needs to cool off, decided to work on his new place and cave in that time while keeping an eye on the kiddos from afar, came back to have Jason get all angry emotional on him and also his birthday was on the 19th but he didn't do anything for it because Too Much is going on as always and dad is basically tired.

Summary: Diana greeted Bruce when he came back from the shadow world and called Jason when he texted her, much to his chagrin. She stopped by to visit a recuperating Barbara, with flowers, and will be flexing her Wonder Woman powers in the fight against the Atlanteans. She very much wishes Arthur were around.

Summary: Accelerator made a big step this month by asking Jason to register as his legal guardian. Then they went and beat up some criminals together.

Accy is also participating in the fight against the Atlanteans. He was present to witness Leo's death, which caused a sliiiight breakdown and caused his black wings to come out. He wrecked some shit before Jason managed to talk him down. He'll be heading into the Underworld with a few others to retrieve Leo. Fun times!

For this month, there was a Valentine’s Day theme going at the Descendant and Jason talked to several people, mostly while still pretending to be a normal civilian.

And then Comics!Dick alerted the whole BatFamily that something happened to Barbara. Sleeper had to literally sit on Jason and convince him not to go off guns ablazing. Afterwards, Jason went to visit Babs to check on her and maybe to ease his own fears and anxiety too. What a Valentine’s Day!

Summary: David went to Little Love to try and deal with the rumblings of the tech there, only to arrive in time for the confluence (rip). There he suddenly found himself saved by an old friend from home and after some conversations, offered Billy Kaplan a place to stay. Then the whole pending war from the sea, where David spent time preparing for things by making short term breathing devices to help people who might get into the water. After the battle he was forced to face that his partner has been changed by it, and the battles from there are only just begun. Ultimately it's going to result in damage to his apartment, concern over how Prodigy's identity will be affected by his conflict with Enigma (and old rumors of romance between them), and a serious question of whether Excelsior is right for him anymore.

Summary: This month started pretty lowkey for Leo. He was mainly caught up in getting Huvrye caught up (heh), and spent some time consoling his brother over people going missing from this world. He's also tried to get some info from Atomight on why the Reaches may want to kill him.

Leo's been in the fight against the Atlanteans, which ends in tragedy when he's abruptly killed. He'll be rescued from the Underworld by his friends and family, though, so all's well that ends well.
