OOC INTRO & PLOTTING
HELLO, HEROES AND VILLAINS! Welcome to metaheroes! We're absolutely delighted to have you here. This is both our OOC introduction and plotting for our arrival event! Please use the information below to guide your plotting as you settle in:


Excelsior City —

New characters will arrive in a terrible storm that seizes Excelsior City and kills the power in Silicon Valley in the midst of old characters' tour of their potential housing locations.

During the arrival log, characters will be faced with vloggers-turned-supervillains who can alter time. This may mean characters who actually appeared on the original test drive meme are suddenly yeeted forward into the Excelsior City Confluence, allowing people to keep their TDM threads AND just now arrive into the game as they were yanked out of their original arrival.

These vloggers can be killed. The Guardian Alliance would rather apprehend them and hold them accountable for their crimes, but the Society of Villainous Reformation will put out a kill order for making them look bad.


Lodgings —
Once the Guardian Alliance arrives on the scene in Excelsior and controls the situation, characters will be provided with lodgings in the DIADEM HOTEL. Here, guests are offered the finest home away from home experience you could ever hope for. Their culinary staff are capable of cooking up everything from hotdogs to gourmet cuisine. The pool, lounge, and fitness rooms are all open 24/7. Given the unexpected influx of new guests, arrivals may find their rooms have been double-booked. Hopefully it's a room with two queen-sized beds instead of a king!

Characters are also free to roam CENTRAL CITY and get their bearings, though at the moment, with the guilds distracted and the city doing major repairs following the damage by the Confluence, there is plenty of crime to stop or cause. Characters will be given cell phones with three months of pre-paid unlimited data and access to the guild networks, as well as credit cards to help them start a life here.

As the dust settles and rooms fill up, the GUILDS confer. The Guilds are aware that they do not have the manpower to handle this ongoing problem of Confluence arrivals - and the Diadem is going to run out of rooms. To this end, player characters will be offered the chance to join the guilds. Those who join will be offered housing at one of the four major cities, with each one offering a different living experience. Note: characters who have been in the game for two months will reach their deadline to decide! Two months of living off the Guilds' dime is coming to a close for some of the oldest characters, and decisions should be made in March.


Superzeroes —
The people of Excelsior City are all too familiar with what comes with powers, and some of the locals will be immediately inclined to help, But to others, the new metas' lack of control over their powers makes them a bigger threat than whatever they were trying to stop.

That's right — expect the new metas' surprising powers can go haywire in myriad ways, including property damage and death. Powers may activate unexpectedly, backfire, or similar, even for those who have experience with other kinds of supernatural abilities, even for the well-intentioned heroes among the new arrivals.

The more villainously inclined arrivals may take advantage of the chaos, or of their own new powers, to live out their villainous dreams, making things worse for everyone in the process.

Feel free to develop and use NPCs in your threads!

Please remember to report any major damage your characters directly cause, or incidents that would be noticed by authorities (murders, arson, etc), or things you think other players would take notice of to the newly redesigned PLOTTING post, so we can keep track.

Disney's Haunted Mansion —

The upcoming March event will offer a chance for some reality-shifting horror in a cursed house, so you can start thinking about if you'd like your character to be a victim of the house or a heroic rescuer.

Guild Affiliation: planning on having him join the Society of Vilainous Reformation, since he barely gets along with authority on a good day and probably identifies with the seedier sorts to begin with. that's just home babes.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Yusei's coming from a point in canon where he's starting to feel a little stranded - he's accomplished a lot of his wishes and isn't sure where to go next. He's only barely started on getting his own emotional hangups ironed out, and he still has insecurities regarding his place in the world and how he can give back to the city that his father's invention tore apart. So Yusei's definitely going to at least explore this new world and its possibilities, maybe find some answers about himself (and maybe Momentum) along the way.
Plot/CR Hooks: Yusei's a techy homeboy at heart and especially loves working with vehicles. Need a souped up ride? He's here for that. Need to hack into something? he's your guy. Want to just generally disregard the constabulory? he will probably join you if no one's getting hurt.

also one of his powers involves having the rainbow personfication of perpetual energy replace his blood and the mental hangups he has over that means he refuses to use it for the greater good (or evil), please feel free to take advantage of that if your characters ever find out. i welcome all the plots.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Loki wants to prove that he's a good person both to himself and to everyone here. Which is why he's joining up with villains because clearly that means he's lying so he's actually a hero! He's also struggling with the knowledge that if he returns home, he'll die! Aaaand the person that kills him is just comfortably living here as well. BONUS he's never had powers so learning to deal with those!

Personally I wanna test his morality and play around with him doing good things as well as evil things! I'm also interested in him getting used to people actually treating him like a child and taking care of him. He's not very good at interacting with other people sincerely, and naturally assumes everyone hates him. Let him actually have some positive relationships please!
Plot/CR Hooks: TEEN HERO PLOTS!!! SCHOOL!! RELUCTANT FOUND FAMILY!!! Also him being a secret agent and going between sides and not really helping either. I think it'd be interesting to play with both villains and heroes concerned with his alignment because small child. Said small child is also a small wizard who doesn't know how to control his powers yet so stuff there too!

Guild Affiliation: The big guy will definitely be joining the Guardian Alliance as soon as possible. He's a good boy and can get a decent grasp of the situation, but he also knows it's better to have human friends who can handle the finer details for him.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Interestingly enough, this version of Godzilla works very well with people! Mostly humans, but he's not picky. One thing he'll absolutely want is a community of friends and fellow weirdos to hang out with, especially people who can handle more complex human things like technology or talking to other humans. Thankfully, he will have a charm to let him be...not...three hundred feet tall all the time, so on top of easier interactions, he'll definitely want to see things how tiny humans do. Who knows? He's a smart boy, so maybe he can learn to read or type or wear the most thinly veiled secret identity one can imagine.
Plot/CR Hooks: Godzilla's used to living in (or at least near) a big city, so there's a good chance for him to just. Up and decide to take a stroll and learn about his new environs. Or inexplicably show up when someone's in danger because he does that (usually to save his adopted dad, but he's not here right now). When he's not being a literal Big Damn Hero, he's being a big aquatic lizard who sometimes gets into trouble, himself. Literally having him walk in (or swim by) and accidentally breaking something or getting someone wet is pretty normal. Accidents happen when you're out for a stroll or hunting for fish. The big guy loves fish.

Godzilla is sapient, so it'll be quick to realize he's actually paying attention to your character. Could be fun for anyone who's not so comfortable around people or psychics/mind readers or any similar abilities to actually get some thoughts from him. Look, he's a big friendly reptile; the plot writes itself and you do want a big friendly reptile friend, right? Of course you do. You're welcome.

Character Name & Journal: Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman | monomachy
Guild Affiliation: None yet! But she'll probably join the Guardian Alliance.
Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Diana is getting dropped into the game right after the end of WWI (1918), so it's going to be a definite culture shock for her! Her first order of business is going to be finding out what in the heck just happened, and where/when she is. She will do her research and figure out what's happened over the past century, probably racking up more guilt about not being there, but will take this opportunity to do the good she can when/where she is now. My bigger goal for her is to set her on a different path from the one she took in DCEU canon, where she spent 100 years on her own, figuring out how to be the hero the world needed her to be while also not dealing with a lot of trauma and guilt and loneliness. This game is an opportunity for her to continue her hero's journey in a different way, with resources and people she can turn to when figuring it all out. We're here for the healing, baby.
Plot/CR Hooks: Diana is still pretty new to the (mostly) full scope of her powers, and it's going to take some time for her to figure out how to use them in a way that will maybe avoid causing millions in property damage every time she fights a villain or monster. I'm talking training! I'm talking teamwork exercises! This era of Diana also has a lot of hope and curiosity in her heart still, so she's going to be poking around everywhere she can, learning about this new world and the others in it. Diana can also act as a mentor to the younger crowd (points to eyes, points to all these Teens), but would also benefit from having a mentor of her own. Give her friendship, give her people to love, give her ways to casually benchpress a school bus. I'm here for it all.

As far as arrival goes, she'll be around Excelsior City, helping where she can and knocking out baddie vloggers when able. Let's do some team-ups! If anybody would like to accidentally have to share a room with her, lmk as well.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Given that Fandral is almost always seen in the context of being part of a trio or group, I'm very much looking forward to him having to do things solo. He's quite set in his ways so navigating something this new will prove a challenge, even if he won't admit it. He has very little sense about how Earth works but he's enthusiastic and ready to charge headfirst into most things.

Plot/CR Hooks: I try not to think too far in advance of what I'd like for him to get up. I enjoy things happening by surprise and I don't like getting tied down with plots that may hinder future plans. But Fandral's very friendly and quite the charmer/romancer, so I expect that will be helpful in building CR. Mostly he'll want to be as heroic as possible and flash about his muscles while sincerely being a good guy. He's not exactly tactical, so if you want him to help on a mission, use him for his brawn and not his brain.

I guess he also has a promise he made to Thor about keeping a certain child safe from harm, which will probably also account for some unexpected things to happen down the road.

dani & jinx - arcane

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Jinx has just basically just destroyed all her familial bonds figuratively and literally! She will be clinging to Silco's coattails for a bit while she gets her bearings, before getting to work on Property Damage etc. OOC goals are stable friendships, frenemies and pos some people for her to hyperfocus being mad at. She will also be setting up a little place somewhere to build weapons and new grenades etc. Maybe she will make something new!!
Plot/CR Hooks: Jinx is both a tech wiz and an antagonist. She will be likely getting up to no good via thievery, lurking, property damage/vandalization, having public meltdowns etc. Otherwise you might spot her buying engineer/mechanic supplies and art supplies. She is multitalented. Watch decorate all your buildings.

character motivations & IC/OOC Goals: eddie and venom are sort of on the run for crimes in canon, so they're both going to be glad for a clean slate. And venom!! is going to be so happy!! to just be seen!! oh my God, he gets to just walk down the street, goo and all?? he gets to just WALK INTO WALMART, TENTACLES OUT??? TEETH OUT?? no more hiding??? this place is amazing!!!!

they're pretty attached to this 'lethal protector' identity, so they're definitely going to get mixed up in the action and help people wherever they can. potentially lethally.

also have an idea for eddie eventually starting up a newspaper column where he interviews all these new heroes about their homeworlds and publishes it to the masses. like a Monster of the Month feature. just to show the regular folks that they aren't that scary.

peter's coming in pretty canonically fresh from multiverse shenanigans of his own, having just learned there are other spiders that exist in other worlds (the spider-men arc, for anyone interested) so this shouldn't be too shocking for him. of course no one can really get used to having several alts of yourself, and peter has only known of one (so far) and the poor guy has """"died"""" so he might still have a Moment.

mostly i'm here to vibe! spider-man is no stranger to getting dumped into other worlds, mostly not by choice, and then having to figure his way out of it, and i'm treating this adventure like a comic arc. he's been at this for a while, so the change of pace would be a good refresher/reminder for why he does what he does, a kind of revitalization of his great power, great responsibility way of life. looking forward to seeing what i can get peter/spider-man up to and see him make some bonds with others.

Plot/CR Hooks:

as long as peter's got his webbing, he's gonna be thwippin around town, getting the lay of the land and maybe helping to rescue a cat out of a tree, or help an old lady (or man!) get across the street. it shouldn't be hard to sight a spider-man dashing between buildings. any rooftop dwellers may also find spider-man crashing in on your chill evening as you try to enjoy a coffee or tea or a glass of wine in the calm evening hours; and/or any other hero might find a spider ready to help out.

peter parker, on the other hand, is going to try and keep his head down. i'm looking to get a teaching position for him at the local high school, as mentoring/teaching is one of his strengths. c': and then find a real nice apartment for him to live in, complete with no heat or ac, crappy single-pane windows, a door with a busted lock, and leaky roofs and squeaky floors! if anyone can help find this perfect dream space, please lmk. c:

spider-man is the titular character of his own comics, so ... he's a superhero to a T and will never ignore the Calling. but he's learned how to work in teams, how to be a helpful distraction, and how to be a proper nuisance — complete with quips. (god so many quips.) he's very very smart, especially in the engineering/biotech fields, and can keep up with all the rest of the supergeniuses with no problem. AND he bakes cookies!

Harry Osborn | The Amazing-Spider-Man

Guild Affiliation: Independent for now and possibly forever. He has no intentions of becoming a hero but he doesn't quite think of himself as a villain (yet) either.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Short-term, he wants to figure out where the hell he is and why the hell there are several versions of his best friend here, and also learn how to use/control his new healing powers. Long-term, he wants a cure to his disease which— WOW!— his new powers actually let him have!!! ...by injuring people at regular intervals. WHOOOPS. Small details. (See his app for more info, on his journal.) At some point he's going to have to have the "Peter Parker = Spider-Man = that guy you hate more than anything" realization, but that can be spaced out a bit.

Plot/CR Hooks: Harry lends himself well to antagonistic relationships, just by nature of being a stuck up rich boy asshole who's had to harden his heart for most of his life. Most of the time, he's slow to trust, but once you earn his favor, he's loyal to a fault (until you betray him, at which point he will burn you to the ground).

I'm open to roommate shenanigans for anyone who's interested! Also looking for people for him to potentially heal and/or injure as he learns how to use his powers and starts to test their limits. He's probably going to stay out of the vlogger conflict for the most part, aside from possibly punching one of them in the face just to get some aggression out.

Guild Affiliation: Harley's going to be running wild and free for as long as possible before eventually settling into something. She's had enough of being under Amanda Waller's thumb, she's not looking forward to repeating that anytime soon.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Harley's biggest emotional need is found family. She craves it, even if she won't own up to it. People she can connect to despite her plentiful issues and her...uh...colorful personality. So making friends and working toward deepening that CR is my biggest goal for her at first. I realize it will likely take most people a long time to warm up to her, if they ever do. But she's post The Suicide Squad and is at a point where strangers are just friends she hasn't met yet, okay.

She's not necessarily going to care about finding a way back to Gotham right away, because she just goes with the flow. But I'd love for her laid back approach to life to conflict with someone that is more high strung. I'd also love for her to come across another other chaotic types who she can unapologetically be herself around.


Plot/CR Hooks: Harley is an antagonist by nature. She goes between chaotic neutral when focused on common world saving goals to chaotic evil when left to her own devices for too long. She's easy to shove into literally any kind of zany hijinks, and is always technically up to no good (even when she's really trying to be good). In canon she has worked her way up from Joker's eye candy in booty shorts to being a reluctant antihero that has found her voice and independence. She's looking to carve out a life for herself, so she'll be doing a lot of soul searching and trying all kinds of odds and ends until something sticks for her. If you need someone to be committing a crime for your hero to lecture or yell at? She's your girl. If you need someone loud to drag your character into wild antics or some kind of scheme? Harley's got your back and is here to be the best influence ever. Want someone with a vibrant and very decorative sense of fashion to give your character a makeover? She's able to do that, hope they like fantasy colors in their hair. And if you'd like to join a roller derby team, she'll be looking to get one of those together right away. She misses her old one.

Oh, and she'll have Bruce the hyena here with her. So if you're looking for hyena antics, hmu.

tony is crau'd from meadowlark. you can find all of his info here and his inbox here.

long story short, he is arriving at a pretty rough point. he not only recently (and very involuntarily) fell off of the wagon but also died a pretty traumatizing death. he is working out his issues by not working out his issues and is instead now focusing all of his attention on other shit. he will be joining the GA immediately in exchange for housing since he doesn't want to live at the diadem. he will also be looking into starting a nonprofit business (and possibly a for profit one to fund it). i'm going to be exploring how he's going to be handling (or, rather, not handling) his accumulation of issues because they're fast approaching a peak and he is inevitably headed right over it.

it most likely won't be fun times for him for a while, but it's an arc i've been wanting to play out. ideally, he will be able to pick himself back up and maybe even lay some of his mountains of issues to rest (or at least move past them).

his main point of interest will be solving the great confluence riddle, so that will be a consistent long-term objective.

Plot/CR Hooks:

i'm open to handwaving cr, so if you want to skip the first meet dance, then just lmk and we can work out the finer details. he is crau'd, so he might even recognize people (or names) from his previous game.

there are plenty of opportunities to run into him. typically, he can be found at local doughnut shops, buying coffee or going on late night/early morning runs. his r.t. node (aka shiny nightlight in his chest) is hidden away, but he is currently wearing a pair of black gloves 24/7. feel free to comment or ask him questions about it. other potential opportunities for cr are as follows:

▪ superheroing!!! he will still be doing the iron man thing.
▪ inadvertent mom-ing. he is bound to accidentally adopt some smols.
▪ bad life decisions/random hookups. he'll be making those sooner or later.
▪ volunteers/employees for his business ventures once i get them worked out and mod approved.

i welcome any and all types of cr: positive, negative, complicated, awkward, silly, etc. a keen interest of mine is to develop a small but reliable network of friends for him overtime. he definitely needs supportive people who have especially high tolerance for shitty behavior right now because that... might come into play eventually. but until then, he is available for shenanigans.

Guild Affiliation: Guardian Alliance, largely for the resources but also because he'll panic the second anyone suggests the villain club to him

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Short-term, Otto's mostly worried about securing housing and a job, and about Norman. Long-term, he has no specific goals, because he's kinda fucked up and still getting used to the fact that he will not be dying in a river anytime soon! His vague ambitions are mostly to do some good (to prove he's not a totally irredeemable monster) and to find one or more new projects to focus on (to continue ignoring the Crushing Weight of Trauma and Despair). Just because he's not running around trying to kill Spider-man anymore does not mean any of his other issues are actually resolved! He's just trying really hard to pretend like he's fine, and it is so untenable!

Plot/CR Hooks:
- Easy one first - who here is gonna immediately recognize him as Doc Ock and what is that gonna look like? I'm not that familiar with comics canon but I did read 616 Ock's wiki page, and like...wow! Otto thinks he did some shit!
- Science stuff! Otto doesn't really have any personal drive to return home - he has nothing to go back to except maybe turboprison - but he'll want to help everyone else get where they need to go. Definitely interested in joining any ongoing Confluence research efforts and making science friends! Also, he's from like 2004 so he's got some catching up to do around here technology-wise, but honestly that part will be kinda exciting for him! Tell him about all these new developments! Show him how to use a smartphone!
- Fellow people who Done Fucked Up! Is there like, an ex-villain support group or something? Do we need one? He likely still won't want to associate with anyone who's actively causing harm, but he'll be pretty understanding with people who are struggling; it's not like he's got a ton of room to judge.
- Mentorship stuff! Otto's universe absolutely does not have a million teenage superheroes running around, so he's gonna be sort of perturbed by all that? Especially after his experiences with Young Peter, he'll want to try and help look out for these kids as best he can. He'd be a pretty solid Science Mentor, and while his own life is a fucking mess, he actually gives good advice on interpersonal stuff?
- He and Norman are gonna be forming a unit to navigate all of this together like immediately (oh my god they’re roommates) so if you're dealing with one you're pretty likely to encounter the other sooner or later. Also Harry, although they have not met yet.

As far as the actual intro log goes, while he's low-key kinda pissed about the vloggers, he doesn't really want to be involved in any more fighting right now. He'll intervene if he sees anyone else in danger, though, or if someone tries to murder a vlogger in front of him. Also please god someone try to explain to this man what the fuck a vlogger is in the middle of all this chaos

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: wanda is coming fresh from the end of wandavision, so she's not in the most positive place mentally, but she's a work in progress. the events of wandavision had her accidentally traumatize a small town with her magic after surrounding it with a hex that allowed for her to create a hexed sitcom-inspired world within. from her magic, she'd been able to bring to life the love of her life, vision, and two children, tommy and billy. however, when realizing that her magically-created world was actually causing pain for the citizens trapped within, she had to sacrifice the family she created and banished herself away from the public to hide away in a quiet cabin by herself where she would begin training herself and reading more on the truth of her powers which make her the chaos magic-using scarlet witch.

which brings her to the present of the game where wanda's intentions are still much of the same in that she wants to better understand herself and her abilities, as well as try to learn the kind of person she could be. she's attempted to be a hero with the avengers for years, but ultimately made too many mistakes which crafted herself into being seen more as a villain by the public. so is she hero or villain — ? that's the question she's posing herself as she explores the kind of person she can be in this world.

whether she takes a more positive or negative route going forward entirely depends on the development of cr and how the world here might respond to her abilities, so a lot of things remain up in the air.

Plot/CR Hooks: wanda's the type who's going to want to keep her head low as much as possible on account of ... everything she's just freshly gone through. but despite her intentions to keep to herself, she does have a tendency to want to help if she has the ability to (even if she's constantly in a state of believing herself ready to fuck something up at any moment), so she might end up on the hero front here and there if anyone's in any trouble.

she's also really trying to learn more about her own magic, so she might be more inclined to study powers and abilities with others, particularly if there's enough similarities. she may also focus on building a home for herself to just be a little isolated witch, with lots of gardening to pass the time.

Guild Affiliation: None. He's likely to try to avoid guild affiliation for a while since neither of the established guilds appeal to his personal sense of morality. Maybe the Society of Villainous Reformation, eventually, if character stuff takes him that direction.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals:Drift is coming from a canon point where he's lost basically all of the precious stability he's managed to scrape out of life and has gone back to being a wandering bounty hunter. He isn't sure what he wants, except that he wants to feel like he matters to someone and that he wants to have someone who can accept him--the only problem is that even he has a hard time doing that thanks to all the anger and guilt he carries around. The Hedgehog's Dilemma is in full force, so for right now short term he's just trying to carve out a niche and survive, maybe find a way off the planet if he's lucky (but he doesn't expect to be that lucky in the near future). So he plans to explore this version of Earth and try to see it as a chance to see the world without a gun (or sword) in his end. Whether that actually works out? We'll see.

Plot/CR Hooks: Drift is the kind of person who can't stand to see the 'little guy' suffer and ultiumately will probably end up doing something stupid to try and defend the downtrodden. He's also a natural driver and racer and might put himself out there on the rally circuits or do some dubiously legal street racing as a method of making local currency. He might use his holoform to create a very flimsy human identity to hide behind, but we'll see.

Ultimately, he needs fuel and while local stuff is fine (even, ugh, crude oil) the better refined and higher octane stuff is better, and harder to get hold of for obvious reasons, which might put him in the path of others.

He's also a giant (28 ft tall!!) alien robot, so any tech heads might want to try and recruit (or capture) him for study.

In his canon, he's supposed to be a redeemed bad guy, someone who joined the wrong side for the right reasons and is now trying to make up for it. I can see him playing a similar role here in other's storylines--his desire for justice and his conception of it isn't always going to line up with the way governments or heroes might (Drift is ACAB at all times thanks to some really bad stuff that happened to him when he was younger) and I can see him getting into the role of an anti-hero or foil to some good guys in a satisfying way. He's unlikely to end up going full baddie, though, since he's had his fill of being an on-call assassin.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Laurie is (was, at least) dead in her canon, and she knows this. She's also a CRAU from a previous game, so she's lived with this fact for several years and is used to the concept that her vanishing from whatever pocket universe she's in spells the end. She attempted to return to her home-world via promised safe travels from goddess-bots, but she wound up here instead! She'll focus on moving forward and establishing herself where she's allowed to live. Bonus points if she gets to write and becomes a productive member of society or whatever.

Plot/CR Hooks: Laurie is a mutant! She already has superpowers and knows how to use them. Her power is pheromone emission, which she can use to manipulate the emotions (and some additional, physical reactions) of others. Need a chill pill? Get a whiff of your girl over here. Need some practical, superheroing experience? Laurie briefly led her last world's version of the Justice League (after everyone better suited left, but whatever). She's also got friends and adjacent (Josh, David, fellow mutants) here and knows versions of a few characters from her last game, if anyone's interested in pursuing that.

- Survival! He will live up to the Scavenger name and will be attempting to make his helicopter man cave out in the woods. A perfect place to build his scrap and fuel hoard. Finding some kind of high-refinement energon substitute will be ideal, but he is used to living off trash.

- Spinister is a loud and proud Decepticon and will find it distasteful to work under humans, but he can totes be friends with them. He used to be a mook for the genocidal bad guys, and knows very little about Earth and humanity. He could stand to learn a thing or two.

- He is going to really miss his fellow Scavengers and will be yearning for that found family vibe.

Plot/CR Hooks:

Spinister in his canon is part of a motley group of Decepticon losers that loot the dead bodies of abandoned battlefields for junk parts. If they don't disassemble someone for their robotic innards, they can actually be quite friendly.

- Being a 38' tall vulture: This large lad will be thieving both fuel and mechanical parts, anything he can get away with. Granted, being a hot pink helicopter limits his options, so he will mostly be using his human-sized hologram self to make his way into any human encampments for any tech goodies he can find. I expect this to get him in trouble and/or find unusual allies along the way.

- Medic: A bona fide Cybertronian savant in the surgery department. For non-robots, this means he has the miracle hands that can spruce up whatever tech he can get his hands on. If he makes friends, he will fix things up for them! Maybe he'll fix them up a little too well.

- Chaos Goblin: Spinister was a grunt in an extremely long space war and has the paranoia and jumpy trigger finger to show for it. If your character is full of Violence and kinda eccentric they will probably Vibe.

Otherwise, he works in a tax office to pay for college, he has a really great family, and he's usually found in like.. dumb situations. It's going to take her some time to realize that she's in an online roleplay game, but once she does, she'll be looking to figure out how to manipulate the format of the game the same way she manipulated the format of the comic book universe. Emotionally, she's desperate for friends, so come at her!

Plot/CR Hooks: Gwen is a hero, but she's a bit unscrupulous in her willingness to resort to violence, so that might be a point of contention with some of the other heroes. She's very meta-savvy, so I'm going to have her post to the network in a bit to get more information from people about the various universes they've come from— including both canon and CRAU worlds. Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Bucky is brand new to the game and while he would love to be old man yells at sky and get off my lawn about all of this, I'm a mean person so he's definitely not going to be allowed to have that kind of peace or tranquility. I'd really like to get into exploring the idea of self with him: not only living for himself, but actively choosing what kind of a life he wants to lead and what kind of a person he wants to be. Until now his life has very much been scripted by HYDRA and their complete control over him, and even after escaping from them he lives more as an anonymous drifter who moves around. Exploring the idea that he could be a member of a community and valued for something other than being a brainwashed assassin is definitely a long term goal.

Plot/CR Hooks: Being brand new, getting used to this world is going to be an adjustment; superheroes exist back home for him, but he doesn't consider himself one of them and honestly wants nothing to do with them or that life, Steve. Things that push him toward having to use his powers are more than welcome because he'd quite happily be a hermit forever if allowed. His canon point is near the beginning of Captain America: Civil War (specifically, right after his apartment has been invaded and the rooftop fight with the Black Panther), so his life has been hiding from the worlds and trying to be anonymous; thrusting him into a place where he can't do that will definitely shake him up. He's also been given some minor healing powers — which he won't realize on arrival — so that could be a hook into interactions with others and realization that he can't be anonymous forever. He also has the Winter Soldier programming completely intact and can be triggered into complete obedience. This isn't something I want to dive into right away, but it's on the table for the future.

Regarding this event specifically, I welcome all the team ups, especially of the "I just wanted coffee but now I'm bench pressing a van because I didn't want it to crush a little old lady" variety. You wanna go punch some hipster vloggers? Let's go punch some hipster vloggers. Lodgings-wise this guy will take advantage of the whole free housing thing, at least for a bit; if you really want him as a roommate, we can absolutely discuss it. And powers going haywire? Yes please have some accidentally crushing doorknobs or ripping car doors off their hinges through a strength surge; I am here for all the ridiculousness that can come from this kind of thing so lay it on me.

Also please try to sneak up on this assassin and pin refrigerator magnets to his metal arm, I need this like burning.

Canon-wise I am still trying to avoid spoilers for the latest Spider-Man movie (I only have to hold out a few more weeks!) so please, uh, avoid me for a bit if you fall into that territory.

Darkwing Duck is fresh off the events of his unfortunately cancelled comic book series from Boom/Joe Books, meaning that he's back in the thick of hero work after a year of hiatus. He's fought new villains and learned a few lessons, but he's still the same glory-seeking gas gun-wielding masked mallard.

D.W. is going to jump right back into hero stuff, and will at first seek leads on a way out of this freaky human world. He will have trouble adjusting to the setting as a non-human! I would love to explore what that means in the long-term. He will revel in celebrity status, something he has always sought in his world but has never received. Prepare for relentless misuse of the Guardian PR team. Go on Meta Mingle with him! More seriously, Drake Mallard will also miss his adopted daughter terribly and will probably go through some kind of crisis as a result! Maybe he'll finally learn how to play nicely with other heroes instead of acting as a lone (duck) wolf?

Plot/CR Hooks: I want all the chaotic adventures with D.W. His canon is very Silver Age-inspired and I'd love to bring that kind of mayhem to his plots. Want to be baffled by and/or have a surreal team-up with an egotistical mallard? He could benefit from someone knocking him down a peg. He will react like a cartoon character to taking big hits so feel free to beat him up honestly

Vloggers turned supervillains are far from the weirdest villains he's faced! Darkwing Duck might just be a little too concerned with how he looks on camera instead of actually fighting them at first.

Plot/CR Hooks: jessica's probably best described as an anti-hero, both in her own show and in the defenders. with the defenders she was slightly more willing to play along, but in both shows it took something extremely personal for her to get involved. since she's somewhere unfamiliar and is aware that there's a great deal of others in the same situation, she'd be more willing to look out for and protect others, but active fighting is something it might take her some time to get involved in.

Character Motivations & IC/OOC Goals: Flint wasn't too happy in the world that he comes from so he relishes the change to take the opportunity afforded him and make a new life. At the point he left his world, Flint had only recently begun to make friends and realize the value of companionship. Seeing less need to keep his guard up on this world, he will be trying to put himself out there more and perhaps recreate the adventuring party he grew fond of, but with a new cast of characters. He's hoping that here strangers will simply be strangers he hasn't met and that he can call the place home. Flint will also spend a good amount of time exploring the world he finds himself in. Having been an archaelogist on his world, this new one is a fascinating puzzle for him to solve.

Truth be told, I am new to RP and this is my first game ever so I do not have any strong goals in mind. Like my character I am interested in anything and everything because it is all new to me!

Plot/CR Hooks:

Flint would spend a lot of his time on patrol as an excuse to explore the city that he resides in. This mostly involves going for walks, visiting areas of cultural relevance, studying at the library. He also spends his time joining hobby groups. He is interested in anything that has a sense of community around it. In his world he was part of an adventuring party where he played the role of protect so he would be delighted to join a superhero group where he could have the same role.
